Through the guidance and vision of Chuck Hovey, the Director of Winemaking for over 20 years, Stevenot Winery has secured its reputation for creating some of the most impressive wines this area has ever seen, and is now one of California’s leading producers of Mediterranean varietals.
Stevenot Winery has been recognized over 500 times in major wine competitions with accolades such as, California’s Best Wines for $15 or Less, Wine Spectator; Top 100 Best Buys in the World, Wine Enthusiast.
In January 2006, Al Munari took over the ownership of the estate, bringing with him a new expertise in the wine industry. To further enhance the Stevenot portfolio, a second label Red Rover was created. Since its release in 2006, Red Rover has burst onto the scene with critical acclaim both for the design and unbeatable value for money. This past year has unveiled Stevenot Gran Reserva, an ultra premium label that is dedicated to small lots of handcrafted, artisan style wines.
Stevenot winery boasts a total of 18 different estate grown varietals so there is always something for everyone! Stroll through our lovely historic estate dating back to the early 1800’s, or enjoy a glass of wine in the beautiful picnic grounds.
