Join the Calaveras Winegrape Board of Directors in 2020. You need to be a Winery Member, Grower Member, or Member at Large outside of wine industry to qualify. We are looking for individuals who are committed to strengthening the Calaveras Wine Region with suggestions for smart growth.

The bylaws revisions approved by the full CWA membership in 2010 provide for a nine-person board of directors with the following minimum membership requirements:

Winery members (minimum of two)

Grower members (minimum of two)

At-large members (minimum of two) (NOTE: at-large members are residents of the Calaveras region who have no direct affiliation with the wine industry but possess skills/interests that could benefit the Calaveras wine industry by their presence on the Board)
Thus, nominations are needed to fill five expiring positions on the Board. Based on the affiliation of the five returning board members, the following nominations/affiliations are needed:

Winery members (zero minimum needed; two returning members)

Grower members (one minimum needed; one returning member)
-
At-large members (two minimum needed; zero returning members)
As a full voting member of the CWA, you may nominate as many or as few fellow members (except for at-large members, for whom membership in the CWA is not required) for two-year terms commencing January 1, 2020. However, you should endeavor to nominate at least the minimum number, by classification, listed above. Board members attend a monthly board meeting on the third Thursday of each month as well as an annual full-day retreat in January. Please return your nominations by November 18, 2019 for election by secret ballot during the first two weeks of December.
Nominations should be listed on the attached nomination form or emailed. Please sign and date the form (anonymous nominations will not be accepted). Either return your nominations by mail to CWA Nominations, PO Box 2492, Murphys, CA 95247, drop it off at the CWA office DROP BOX located at 202 Main Street, Murphys, or you may email your nominations to sandra@calaveraswines.org
