Main Street, Murphys

Each year on the third Saturday in March, thousands of people from Northern California and beyond gather in the historic gold rush town of Murphys to honor its Celtic heritage and to celebrate as only the Irish can. Its picturesque Main Street is filled with booths offering handcrafted items, original art, photographs, tasty food, wine, and other beverages.


CWA Meet-Up at Prospect 772

The next CWA Meet-Up event is set to take place on Thursday, February 20th 6:00-8:00 at Prospect 772 Winery 772 Appaloosa Rd, Angels Camp. A great time is planned for all as we explore Calaveras Wine Region History in a fun Trivia Game! Do you know your history? Come on out for a great time and win some awesome prizes. Explore delicious wines from Calaveras County and nibble on appetizers. Be sure to register before 2/18 so that we can plan on food. See you there!

Calaveras County Fair

May 14th-17th 2020

The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee features the famous jumping frog competition, inspired by Mark Twain's story: The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras, and takes place over 4 days on the third weekend in May. It is also the longest running county fair in California.

Murphys 11th Annual Dia de los Muertos "Day of the Dead"

The Murphys community honors the dead in the land of the skulls on Dia de los Muertos. Participating businesses will be offering authentic cultural art, food, sugar skulls, face painting and live music, as well as displaying altars celebrating the lives of those who have passed on but are with us in heart and spirit on the Day of the Dead.
